March News
March 7th, 2007 CheffySpring changes are in the air this month and several Sheffield restaurants have implemented new menus to tempt and tantalise the taste buds. March sees the introduction of a new evening menu from Bluwater, which is available Wednesday to Saturday. Head Chef Phil Sinclair has put together a menu that features the best produce from local suppliers with the aim of helping to reduce the carbon footprint of their supply line, whilst giving their menus a fresh seasonal focus.
Nonna’s Italian restaurant has also introduced a new seasonal menu, which includes fresh home made egg pasta. To celebrate the new menu, they have a special offer available between 6.00 pm and 7.00 pm, which gives diners the chance to try a bowl of fresh pasta with their choice from a range of sauces for just £5. The offer is available every day except Friday and Saturday.
We called in to the launch night at the newly refurbished restaurant at The Maynard in Grindleford recently and can see that this place will be a winner as we head into Spring and Summer, as not only does the new look give a stylish and modern ambiance to the dining area, but it has the extra allure of stunning Peak District views. You can get full details about the Maynard from their new full listing.
One of the latest restaurants to open in Sheffield is Seasons, a cosy bistro on Abbeydale Road. They are offering a range of fresh seasonal dishes and will also feature some ‘Sheffield specials’, which make the most of some of Sheffield’s best known culinary products. Season’s have a special free wine offer for advance bookings made between Tuesday to Friday.
