Happy New Year 2007

Sheffschefs wish all readers a very Happy New Year
.

It’s all happening on the edge of Sheffield at the moment, with exciting new developments being put in place at the Padley Restaurant in the Maynard Hotel in Grindleford. The restaurant has closed this month so that it can be completely refurbished, to create a new open plan design to complement the newly revamped bar and to make the most of the stunning views out onto the Hope Valley. The new Head Chef is Marcus Jefford, whose impressive career history includes winning a coveted place in the Michelin Guide and maintaining rosette accreditations for a previous restaurant. Marcus is currently busy planning new menus, that will feature local and organic produce. We’ll be bringing you further details about the Padley Restaurant soon.

New reviews this month include The Courtyard at Hope, which sounds like another little gem of a place and Antibo in the West One complex. If you would like to add your own review of these or any other local restaurants, we’d love to hear from you, just use our quick and easy review form.

If you would like to make some New Year savings, The Walnut Club Sheffschefs special offer is still running, offering you the chance to enjoy free wine and champagne when you dine in January or February at The Walnut Club. To receive full details, please request our free newsletter. We also have further deals for you to take advantage of on our offers page.

We are delighted to see that everyone is making full use of the new search feature in the Sheffschefs restaurant directory, which allows you to find restaurants that offer a certain type of food, or are located in a particular area of Sheffield.

Don’t forget, you can also browse for and book thousands of restaurants throughout the UK, using our free on-line booking service , which we hope will help you with your advance trip planning for both UK short breaks and work trips.
